VILLA IN DUTCH 17TH CENTURY STYLE THE HAGUE

“We called in Robbert Lagerweij after the purchase of our new house. In addition to the design plan, we left the execution to Robbert and his team. Because everything was in one hand under Robbert's leadership and supervision, we never had to worry about the reliability and expertise of the craftsmen who were involved in the construction work of and in our house. In addition, Robbert is very flexible with his time. We are very satisfied and proud of the end result. We can therefore highly recommend Robbert.”

INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our client, CEO Netherlands at one of Asia’s largest telecoms companies, bought a 12-year-old Dutch 17th-style villa in The Hague and asked Robbert Lagerweij Interior Design to make it their home. Our client was keen to, leave the renovation, interior design and other modifications to our construction, and interior design team.

Robbert Lagerweij gladly accepted this challenge and, together with his client, searched for a sustainable and original interior combination that did justice to the large stylish rooms and the client’s contemporary and modern living wishes and taste. Robbert managed to capture this in a unique interior design. The interior design could be seamlessly integrated by a few renovations/adjustments to and in the house.

Robbert and his (construction) team set to work passionately, including the interior painting and wallpapering, new floors and staircases, the entire customised interior construction in terms of cupboards, beds and workplaces, the installation of atmospheric

and functional lighting, the curtains/window coverings and bringing together and searching for new and vintage furniture and decorative objects for the furnishings.

The result is an unbeatable, exciting mix of contemporary stylish modern with a subtle classic touch that does justice to the atmosphere of the house.

In the realisation of this interior project, RL-ID used, among others:
FARROW&BALL paint for the walls, furniture, and curtain fabrics by JAMES HARE, original wallpaper by French company LALIEVRE PARIS, dining room table, chairs and corner sofa by KEIJSER & CO and the customised interior construction of cabinets, beds and workstations designed and executed by RL-ID.
