Our client, a member of one of Hollands most renowned shipbuilders families, had the desire to  display the ship model collection of her father in her home in Noordwijk. She and her husband found it difficult to determine how best to show the ship models in their home interior.

Robbert Lagerweij gladly accepted this challenge and looked for a sustainable and original way that did justice to the existing interior, the living wishes and taste of his clients. Robbert has managed to capture this in a unique wall cabinet design. The cabinet design could eventually be nicely integrated into the large central hall of their house.

Robbert and one of his regular furniture makers set to work passionately with a design and then the construction of the cupboard wall, where each ship model was given its own custom made box with separate functional and atmospheric lighting.The result is an unsurpassed, exciting mix of a classic but certainly also sleek contemporary look & feel, which fits seamlessly into the hall space.
